Switzerland Postdoc position in cardiovascular biology at Univ of Bern

We are seeking a highly motivated post-doctoral fellows interested in cardiovascular projects we examine the inner workings of Ca2+ signaling and excitation-contraction coupling of the heart on the cellular and molecular level, both in health and in animal models of cardiac diseases. State-of-the art methods are applied including Ca2+ imaging with laser-scanning confocal microscopy and the whole-cell patch-clamp technique. We also offer the possibility to learn the recently developed technique of UV-laser and two-photon excitation photolysis of caged compounds. For further details see our web-site. Requirements: PhD in a biological or physical discipline. Experience in the patch-clamp technique and skills in any of the other used techniques and/or cardiovascular background knowledge would be an asset. To apply please send CV, statements of research interests and 3 references to:
